TransparencIT is pleased to provide the Civic Changemakers Fellowship program, designed for passionate individuals who are actively engaged in their communities. This program aims to support these community champions in creating and expanding innovative initiatives that promote transformative civic engagement, enhance governance, and advance social justice within their localities.

The primary goal of the program is to enhance the civic sphere and create meaningful change within our communities. It aims to achieve this by cultivating the knowledge, skills, values, and motivation of the changemakers, enabling them to foster and implement solutions driven by citizen participation. The program has been specifically crafted to generate a positive impact aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its core elements encompass various aspects, including experiential learning, leadership development, inclusion, innovation, and management frameworks, all running in parallel.

The Civic Changemakers Fellowship program is a comprehensive civic innovation and governance training initiative designed to empower community champions who are currently addressing or aspiring to address civic and governance challenges. This program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to effectively tackle and solve these issues.

Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the TransparencIT Civic Changemakers Fellowship:

Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 at the time of application.
Applicants must be Citizens and residents of Nigeria at the time of the programme.
Applications must be Passionate about solving social justice and governance challenges in their communities.
Available to attend both online and on-site activities of the programme.
Proficient in speaking, reading, writing and understanding the English language.
Women and people living with disability are encouraged to apply.
