Scholarships are being offered to individuals worldwide who are interested in participating in customized training programs. These scholarships consist of the MENA Scholarship (MSP), Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP), and Shiraka Training Programme (STP).

The scholarship programs for the 2023-24 cohort will be held at the Hague Academy for Local Governance in the Netherlands. These programs offer full funding for the entire duration of the scholarship.

The scholarship programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals who are enthusiastic about enhancing their skills and capabilities. These scholarships include the MENA Scholarship Programme, which focuses on promoting the development of participating countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the Orange Knowledge and MENA Scholarship:

Eligibility for the MENA Scholarship Programme

  • You are a professional working in one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman and Tunisia.
  • You are 45 years old or younger on the application deadline, plus two weeks;
  • You are not employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff development. E.g. international development organisations or private companies;
  • You have a minimum of two years of work experience; You speak and understand the English language well (all programmes are in English);
  • You have written support from your employer to participate in the programme and to implement the Back Home Action Plan.
  • You are working in one of the priority areas matching the thematic approach of the MENA Scholarship Programme in our country.

Eligibility for An Orange Knowledge Scholarship

  • You are a national of, and working in one of the eligible countries: Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Vietnam and Yemen.
  • You are not employed by an organisation that has its own means of staff development. E.g. international development organisations or private companies;
  • You have a minimum of two years of work experience;
  • You speak and understand the English language well (all programmes are in English);
  • You have written support from your employer to participate in the programme and to implement the Back Home Action Plan.
  • You are working in one of the priority areas matching the country focus in your country.

Eligibility for the Shiraka Training Programme

  • You are a national of, and working in one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territories and Tunisia.
  • You are a civil servant.
  • You have between five and ten years of relevant work experience.
