University of Kent DICE MSc Burnett Scholarships 2025

Students can now seek admission for the University of Kent Burnett Scholarship to gain UK study opportunities through full funding benefits. Students accepted into this prestigious scholarship receive funding for tuition in full while receiving a £19,237 yearly stipend and covering travel costs to and from the UK. The program exists to provide exceptional educational opportunities for KAZA region African students who can build their future through advancement in their studies.

The Arctic Club of the Scottish Islands provides the Burnett Scholarship by supporting postgraduates through the DICE Masters’ Conservation Science curriculum for their Master’s degrees. The education program delivers essential competence training alongside specialized conservation expertise to prepare students for their role in defense conservation fields. The 2025/26 academic year will distribute a maximum of six awards to secure educational opportunities for accomplished applicants.

The Notsew Orm Sands Foundation founded this scholarship program and pledged its financial support for the next three academic years. To be considered for the University of Kent Burnett Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be nationals of or have official refugee status in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
  • Have at least two years of work experience in the conservation sector.
  • Be in possession of a good undergraduate degree, with a minimum of a UK 2:1 or equivalent.
  • Meet the UK Visas and Immigration specifications and University of Kent English language requirements.
