UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grant 2023 for Young Researchers
UNESCO is accepting applications from enthusiastic young researchers for the UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grant, which is being sponsored by the National Commission of the People’s Republic of China for UNESCO.
The goal of this program is to encourage young researchers to study the cultural heritage of the Silk Roads. It will provide research grants to 12 individuals who are under 35 years old and both genders are eligible to apply.
The Silk Roads Programme, which seeks to deepen knowledge of the shared history and cultural heritage of the Silk Roads, has launched the ‘Silk Roads Youth Research Grant’ in collaboration with UNESCO and the National Commission of the People’s Republic of China for UNESCO. The third edition of this grant was recently introduced on March 8, 2023, as part of the Social and Human Sciences Sector. The panel responsible for the selection process will award 12 grants worth USD 10,000 each to research projects that demonstrate strong potential to enhance understanding of the interactions and exchanges that occurred along the Silk Roads and their tangible outcomes. The grant will be awarded in two installments.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria for the UNESCO Silk Roads Youth Research Grant 2023 for Young Researchers:
- Applicants must be a graduate
- Postgraduate researchers from all countries aged 35 and younger at the time of application are eligible to apply for the grant
- The proposed research may be carried out by an individual researcher or may be part of a group or collaborative project
- However only one grant will be awarded per research project.

After submitting your proposal, you will receive an email confirming its receipt. Proposals should be sent by email to silkroadsgrant@unesco.org and should be written in English.
