CYFI 2023 Fellowship Applications for Nigerian Mid-Level Professionals

The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) is currently accepting applications from Nigerian graduates who have demonstrated a strong academic record, as well as an energetic and positive attitude. Nigerian graduates who meet these criteria are encouraged to fully participate in the CYFI program.

The Fellowship offers an exceptional chance to: Engage in a comprehensive year-long professional development program, Enhance your work through valuable connections, skills, and innovative ideas, Receive mentorship from experienced individuals from Nigeria and the United States, Become part of the extensive network of the U.S. Consulate General in Nigeria.

The Carrington Fellowship program is a community-based initiative designed to provide one year of professional development for entry to mid-level professionals. Participants in the program have the opportunity to enhance their leadership abilities, improve communication skills, gain expertise in program management, expand their professional network, and receive mentorship from experienced individuals.

Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the CYFI Fellowship for Nigerian Mid-Level Professionals:

Are between the ages of 18 and 30 on or before the application deadline;
Are Nigerians who live in Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo States;
Are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English;
Are not alumni of the Carrington Fellowship.
Are available to participate in the one-year long program in Lagos, Nigeria.
A proven record of leadership in your community
A demonstrated commitment to public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship;
The ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and to respect the opinions of others;
Strong social and communication skills;
An energetic, positive attitude;
