The IELTS Prize award aims to support candidates from eligible nations who have taken the IELTS exam for the purpose of pursuing work and educational opportunities abroad. In each of the listed countries, seven fortunate IELTS test takers will receive a £5,000 prize to transform their academic aspirations into reality.
The 2023 IELTS Prize is accessible to individuals residing in Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
There are two variations of the IELTS test: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The IELTS Academic exam is intended for those seeking higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking setting. It mirrors certain aspects of academic language and gauges your readiness to commence studies or training.
On the other hand, the IELTS General Training test is designed for individuals heading to English-speaking nations for secondary education, work exposure, or training programs. It is also a prerequisite for immigration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. This test emphasizes fundamental survival skills within broad social and workplace contexts. While Listening and Speaking sections remain consistent across both tests, the content of the Reading and Writing sections differs based on the specific test undertaken.
