ELI 2023 Abroad Intern and Volunteer Program for Young Graduates
The ELI Abroad Medical Intern and Volunteer Programme is presently accepting applications from graduate-level students in medical sciences. This program offers internships and volunteer opportunities in Uganda, specifically in Eastern Uganda, providing participants with valuable hands-on experience at a general clinic or hospital. By engaging in this program, individuals have the opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of the healthcare system challenges faced by the country.
During the internship and volunteer program, you will collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals. Your tasks will be assigned based on your skills, prior training, and educational background. Additionally, there are opportunities to engage in public health projects, such as participating in educational campaigns focused on HIV/AIDS/STD prevention, promoting hygiene practices, and addressing nutrition-related issues.

Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the ELI Abroad Medical Internships:
- B.Sc in Biomedical Science, Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmaceuticals
- The language skill required is English Language.
- An experience is also needed
- Take on tasks based on your skills and previous training and/or educational background
- A strong interest in the sustainability of non-profit organizations
- A go-getter attitude and ability to work independently
- An interest in and passion for the medicals
- A willingness to take on a variety of tasks
