Carrington Youth 2023 Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program for Student Entrepreneurs
Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply for the Entrepreneurship Program 2023 under the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative. This program intends to equip student entrepreneurs in higher education institutions with the necessary abilities, understanding, and connections to effectively navigate the evolving business landscape, foster innovation, and expand their enterprises to support youth employment and contribute to economic advancement.
The initiative aims to provide training and support to 50 ambitious and emerging student entrepreneurs studying in tertiary institutions located in Lagos State. Through this program, participants will gain valuable skills, knowledge, and access to a network of resources. This will enable them to effectively navigate the dynamic business landscape, foster innovation, and expand their enterprises. The ultimate goal is to contribute to youth employment and stimulate economic growth specifically within Lagos State.
CYFI, short for the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative, is an energetic initiative focused on youth empowerment. It was established in 2011 by the U.S. Consulate General in Lagos. The primary objective of this program is to provide proactive engagement, training, collaboration, and networking opportunities for its members and young Nigerians. The program aims to foster career development, encourage the establishment of organizations, and promote active citizenship among participants.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria for the Carrington Youth Fellowship Entrepreneurship Program:
- Students in tertiary institutions
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership abilities
- Not more than 18 – 35 years
- Available to commit 3-4 hours weekly to the program from August to November
- Available to students in tertiary institutions in Lagos State only
