Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program:
- Applicants must be a Ph.D. candidate with high-quality, policy relevant research that will deepen understanding about conflict management, peacebuilding and other applicable security-related studies.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.

Application Procedures for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program (How to Apply):
Prospective candidates for the USIP Peace Scholar Fellowship Program 2023 should initiate the application process by registering for a FLUXX account. Here are the steps to follow:
- Visit the FLUXX registration page.
- On the right side of the page, click on “Register for an account.”
- Choose “Peace Scholars” as the competition type.
- Specify your preference regarding either a USIP-funded Peace Scholar fellowship or a Minerva-funded Peace and Security Fellowship, or express no preference.
- Complete the form and then select “Submit Request.”
Afterwards, within 24 business hours, applicants will receive a confirmation email from FLUXX, containing a username and password.
Subsequently, applicants should proceed to create and submit their application using the login credentials received. Follow these steps:
- Access the FLUXX application page.
- Enter the username and password provided in the FLUXX confirmation email.
- Click on “Draft Applications” in the left toolbar to initiate a blank draft application.
- Begin entering the required information in the draft application. Note that FLUXX does not automatically save your progress, so make sure to save your work regularly.
- Review your work thoroughly before submitting your application. Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be modified or altered.
