The Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowships are open to individuals who possess the necessary qualifications and are seeking exceptional scientists, writers, scholars, public intellectuals, practitioners, and artists. The purpose of these fellowships is to recognize individuals whose work is having a significant impact in their respective fields and beyond. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications.
We welcome applications from diverse fields and perspectives, particularly those that propose innovative approaches to addressing urgent social and policy issues and aim to engage audiences beyond the academic sphere. Radcliffe fellows have a reputation for pioneering new tools and methodologies, challenging traditional artistic and scholarly norms, and shedding light on both historical and contemporary subjects.
The Radcliffe Fellowship Program grants a total of 50 fellowships annually. Individuals or groups of two to three individuals collaborating on the same project are eligible to apply. The program actively encourages diversity across various dimensions, such as academic discipline, career stage, racial and ethnic background, country of origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ideological outlook. While fellows may come from diverse backgrounds, they share a common commitment to showcasing outstanding abilities, fostering a collaborative environment, and demonstrating creativity in their work.
