The Aston University Ferguson Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2025/26 is open to African and Indian male citizens of the respective countries of residence. This scholarship, fully funded for £22500, is being presented for the students who may not be able to afford to study in the UK. This program is aimed at increasing equitable opportunities for education for people from the developing areas, and it is supported by the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust.

The scholarship is only applicable to students wishing to have postgraduate and master’s programs at Aston University. It targets bright learners to provide them with the latest information and skills in order to help change society and the world. It is a way the university seeks to promote the agenda of international education and nurturing of talents from those parts of the globe.

Founded in 1979 by John and Elnora Ferguson, the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust has provided nearly £60 million towards education for peace and the alleviation of poverty globally. To be considered for the Ferguson 2025 Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for one of the above courses
  • Be a national from India or an African country
  • Hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent in a relevant subject for the course you are applying for
  • Provide a strong personal statement when submitting your course application

Interested applicants for the Aston University Ferguson Scholarship 2025 are to follow the steps outlined below to apply:

  • Submit an application for your chosen course by selecting ‘OFFICIAL WEBSITE‘ on the course web pages (select the appropriate program from the list above).
  • Following the above, complete the scholarship web form at the bottom of this page before the scholarship deadline (30th June 2025).

  • The announcements for the applications for this scholarship are to be made by 31 July 2025 (midnight UK time). Please note that this is the final extended deadline for applications.
