MTN 2023 Foundation Scholarships for Tertiary Students
Applications are currently being accepted by the MTN Foundation (MTNF) for its yearly scholarships granted to students pursuing higher education in Nigeria. The MTNF is currently inviting eligible candidates to apply for the 2023 MTN Foundation Science and Technology scholarship (STS) and Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS).
Since 2010, the flagship program of the MTN Foundation has been open to eligible 300 level students who are pursuing Science & Technology-related courses at public tertiary institutions in Nigeria, including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The program awards scholarships worth N200,000.00 annually to 300 successful students until they graduate, on the condition that they maintain the required grades.

Requirements and Eligibility Criteria for the MTN Foundation Scholarships
Institution of Study
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to Nigerian students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
Course of Study
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses, in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
Level of Study
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to students who have completed their second semester 200 level examinations going to 300 level and students currently in their 300 level
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level blind students in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
- Applicants for STS are required to possess a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 depending on the program the are currently on
- Applicants for SBS are required to have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 or 2.5, also depending on their programs
