ECOWAS 2024 Immersion Program for Young Africans
The announcement has been made by the Economic Community of West African States about the introduction of the ECOWAS Immersion Internship Program. This program is designed for recent graduates who wish to gain practical experience within ECOWAS institutions.
The objective of the program is to support the successful incorporation of young graduates into the professional sphere. It provides them with a chance to enhance their understanding of ECOWAS initiatives while also enabling interns to contribute to the effective execution of these programs.
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional organization comprising 15 West African countries. Established with the goal of fostering economic cooperation, political stability, and social development in the region, ECOWAS works to promote trade, facilitate movement of people and goods, and enhance regional integration. Through its various programs and initiatives, ECOWAS aims to create a conducive environment for sustainable growth, peace, and prosperity among its member states.

Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the ECOWAS Immersion Program:
Applicants must be young graduates from the ECOWAS Member States.
Applicants must be aged 32 years or less.
Must hold a Certificate, at the Bachelor (BSc), Master, or PhD or equivalent certificate.
Be available full time through out the duration of the program.

Application Procedures for the ECOWAS Immersion Program (How to Apply):
Prospective participants of the ECOWAS Immersion Program should carefully review the terms of reference and the complete list of available positions. Upon familiarizing themselves with these documents, applicants can proceed to submit an online application by the specified application deadline.
Required Documents:
- A formal letter addressed to the ECOWAS Commissioner in charge of Human Development and Social Affairs. This letter should outline the candidate’s motivations, areas of interest, the chosen position, preferred immersion location, and a commitment to adhere to the program’s terms and conditions.
- A comprehensive curriculum vitae in PDF format.
- A scanned copy of a valid national identity card or passport in PDF or JPEG format.
- Scanned copies of academic certificates or their equivalents in PDF format.
Note: Each immersion candidate is permitted to apply for a maximum of two positions.
