MUTA Education 2024 Scholarship Program
The MUTA Education is happy to accept applications for their 2024 Scholarship Program. The awards are given on merit and are intended for full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), medicine and allied medical programs.
The Committee expects to grant up to 16 scholarships for the 2024 – 2025 academic year. The amount per recipient is N50,000.00. This amount will be transferred directly to the recipient’s account and can be used for tuition, fees, research, or other expenses directly related to undergraduate study.
The MUTA Education was incorporated in the United States since 1993. We are committed to promoting the Tiv culture in the United States of America and Canada, and supporting Tiv communities and others both in Nigeria and around the world in education, healthcare, agriculture, and disaster relief.

Requirement and Eligibility Criteria for the MUTA Education Scholarship Program:
- Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), medicine or any allied medical field.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (equivalent to second class upper degree) or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Note: No consideration will be given to applicants who do not meet the above CPGA requirement even if the applicant has the highest CGPA in his or her local government

Application Procedures for the MUTA Education Scholarship Program (How to Apply):
To apply for the MUTA Scholarship Program, please fill out the online form provided. Ensure that all required supporting documents are uploaded securely through the online portal. This streamlined and user-friendly process allows for efficient submission and ensures that your application is complete and ready for review.
In addition to the application form, applicants must submit a 2-page, double spaced personal statement explaining why they are deserving of this award. Appropriate justification may include academic history, accomplishments, community service, career goals and financial needs.
The Committee also requires the following items:
- A declaration that the candidate does not and shall not belong to or participate in any cult or related organizations activities on or off campus.
- Certificate of State or Local Government origin.
- A signed letter from the institution’s Academic Officer or the appropriate Head of Department certifying the candidate’s CGPA. Download the form in the download section below (immediately below the application form).
