This scholarship is available each year and is specifically for international students who are starting their first year in an undergraduate degree program at the university.
Recipients of the Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship at the University of Calgary have the opportunity to renew the scholarship for their second, third, and fourth years. To be eligible for renewal, they must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 and complete a minimum of 24.00 units during the preceding fall and winter terms.

- Applicants must have graduated from a recognized high school in China, including Hong Kong and Macau
- Preference to a student entering the Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Health Sciences, or Bachelor of Arts – Urban Studies program
