NITDA/Coursera 2023 Scholarship for Nigerian Citizens (Fully-funded)
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has partnered with Coursera to provide learning scholarships, allowing individuals from Nigeria to acquire professional certifications from renowned multinational tech companies like Meta, Google, IBM, as well as prestigious universities in the United States.
In Category A (IT Career Pathway), there are 19 professional certification programs available to assist you in launching a successful IT career. Each program consists of a series of interconnected courses that focus on imparting in-depth knowledge and practical skills necessary for employment. Upon completion of each individual course, you will receive a certificate of completion. However, the professional certification will be awarded only after successfully finishing all the required courses within the program. Category B (Complementary Skills Pathway) offers 4 certification programs that serve as a complement to your IT career skills. These programs aim to enhance your proficiency in utilizing digital productivity tools, developing entrepreneurship skills, or cultivating freelancing abilities.
Every scholarship recipient will receive a six-month Coursera license. During this period, scholars are encouraged to pursue as many professional certifications as they can, with the limitation of being able to enroll in only one certification program at a time. Applicants are required to choose one certification program from both Category A and Category B that they would like to be enrolled in.
