Requirements and eligibility criteria;
To be considered for the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025, you note the following application conditions:
- An applicant must choose a study programme at a Latvian HEI prior to the application for a scholarship.
- An applicant must receive the confirmation letter for the chosen study program from the Latvian HEI prior to the application for a scholarship.
- An applicant who is already studying at a Latvian HEI should also receive the confirmation letter for the present or chosen study programme prior to the application for a scholarship;
- The confirmation letter for the chosen study program from a Latvian HEI needs to be provided by the designated contact person.
- The international student can receive a Latvian state scholarship for a maximum of two terms during their studies.
- Bachelor’s students who have already successfully completed at least 1 academic year at any higher education institution (HEI);
- Master’s or PhD students from any previous HEI.
Application Procedures (How to apply);
To apply for the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025, interested and qualified candidates should do the following:
- An applicant has to register in the system and make a profile with a unique login and password.
- Then proceed to the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM.
- Fill in an application form according to the set CRITERIA; incomplete and incorrect applications are not assessed.
- Attach all the necessary application documents (translated in Latvian or English).
- Submit the application by the deadline of the call.
- Receive an official decision on the award of the scholarship by e-mail in June, and the decision is available in the candidate’s profile in the electronic application system.
